Weingart Foundation announces temporary changes in its Grants Guidelines
The economic realities of today have led the Weingart Foundation to temporarily change its grant guidelines, effective January 2009. These changes are primarily focused on the Core Support program. For more information on Core Support, please click here.
We have also made some important changes to other aspects of our grantmaking program. Please consult the Types of Support section of the Grant Guidelines for new information on Capital, Program, and General Operating Support grants.
Finally, we are pleased to announce that in response to many comments received from nonprofit organizations, as well as an in-depth study, the Foundation has made a number of important changes to the Small Grant Program. The maximum grant award has been increased to $25,000, and the primary purpose of the program has been clearly defined to increase funding and strengthen the capacity of small, grassroots, and developing organizations.
